Acceptable Use Policy & Developer Terms

By creating an API key or calling the ARK API, you ("Customer") agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the API.

1. License & scope

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to call the ARK API for your own internal business use, subject to these terms and your plan limits.

2. Restrictions — you will NOT

  1. Resell, sublicense, white-label, or redistribute the API, keys, or raw outputs as a standalone product. (Building ARK into your own app for your own end users is fine; reselling ARK as ARK, or as a competing video-analysis API, is not.)
  2. Share, publish, or transfer your API keys. Keys are secrets bound to your organization; you are responsible for all usage under them.
  3. Use the API to build or train a competing model, or reverse-engineer, extract, or distill the underlying models.
  4. Circumvent usage metering, rate limits, quotas, or billing.

3. Prohibited uses

You will not use the ARK API to:

  1. Violate any applicable law, including privacy, surveillance, biometric, and data-protection law (GDPR, BIPA, PIPEDA, CCPA).
  2. Conduct surveillance of individuals without a lawful basis and any required notice or consent.
  3. Enable unlawful discrimination, profiling, harassment, stalking, or targeting of individuals or protected groups.
  4. Make fully automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on a person without meaningful human review.
  5. Process footage you do not have the right to process, or submit illegal content.
  6. Operate safety-critical systems where API failure could cause death, injury, or serious harm without independent fail-safes.

4. Your responsibilities

You are the data controller for footage and personal data you submit — responsible for your lawful basis, notices, consents, signage, and retention. ARK annotates by reference and does not store your media.
